Yet I've found dozens of definitions of GA that exclude only military and several that use police as an example of GA. One FAA article comparing GA accident statistics notes that part of the discrepancy among countries is due to their differing definitions of what constitutes GA. The FAA lists categories of aviation as transport, military, and general. This would leave other government aviation with no category.

IMO (and the FAA's), it makes the most sense to group flight operations according to the flight rules under which they fly. This means that things like police and government transport properly belong with GA, since they fly under the same parts (91).

How could Mark Owen have passed so suddenly?[edit]

Okay, he had pneumonia. How is that fatal. If you seen the martial art video of him on Facebook, he was in good health. No obituary out there? 67.175.224.138 (talk) 08:41, 26 October 2019 (UTC).

Did you intend to post this on the RD? If not, I'm not sure why you're posting it on some random not very active editor's talk page. If you are JoelKatz, you should login to avoid confusion but in any case, I'm not sure if many people are likely to read questions like this on your talk page. Anyway I have no idea who you are referring to, the only people who come up for someone with that name dying seem to relate to a hoax. But have you read our pneumonia article? While pneumonia is most dangerous in the very old and very young, as well as those who are chronically ill, by no means are deaths restricted to those groups. Our article says "It is a major cause of death among all age groups resulting in 4 million deaths" and while this doesn't directly mention how healthy those people were beforehand I think the article accurately gives the impression that as with most deadly conditions, being healthy beforehand doesn't guarantee you won't die from it. I'd also note your details are unclear. Someone could be healthy, go into hospital for a routine operation, have something go wrong and end up on a ventilator and die from pneumonia. In that case, pneumonia and them being healthy is only part of the story. Finally, if your only indication "he was in good health" is martial art videos, this doesn't seem sufficient to draw that conclusion. I assume the person is clearly not frail and has at least a moderate degree of fitness, but and depending also on what you see in these videos, they could still have significant underlying health conditions. I'm not sure who posted that or why. Mark Owen is someone that I used to work for who passed away quite suddenly. All I was know was that he had an unexpected illness and passed away. I got that from his ex-wife's Facebook page. I too wonder exactly what happened, but haven't reconnected with any of the people I know who knew him to ask.
