"Tseno ureno b'noth Zion"[edit]

"Tseno ureno b'noth Zion" is an odd mix of Ashkenazic and Yemenite/academic Hebrew. Shouldn't it be internally consistent? Jayjg ^(talk) 22:12, 17 Mar 2005 (UTC)

Go for it. My Hebrew is minimal. At best I can mumble prayers. I took this transliteration from Sol Liptzin. It may have been intended to reflect usage of the period, or it may have been absolutely arbitrary, I wouldn't know. -- Jmabel | Talk 00:43, Mar 18, 2005 (UTC)

Since the book was Yiddish, why not use Yiddish for the "Tsenerene", as in צאינה וראינה , as shown in Chava Turniansky's article[1] and Ze'enah u-Re'enah for the title (instead of re-directing from there)? Myron (talk) 16:56, 26 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Nofet tsufim author?[edit]

The article says it was "Judah Messer Leon's Nofet tsufim", but I think it was the Zevi Hirsch Chotsh (sp?, can't find in English Wikipedia) Nofet Tsufim (available in hebrewbooks), which was Yiddish sections from the Zohar (which is in turn a commentary on the Humash).Jimhoward72 (talk) 03:30, 24 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
