Hi, There seems to be some vote on the issue of the redesigned front page set up by those opposed to it. As you expressed a liking for the new page (as did I!) it might be worth casting your vote there, lest the boring old sods who prefer the old page get their way and return to the dull old look. The developer team at Wikimedia is making some changes to how accounts work, as part of our on-going efforts to provide new and better tools for our users like cross-wiki notifications.
