Maybe the title should be '(The) University of Edinburgh', as the institution calls itself on http://www.ed.ac.uk/

Officially it is know as both (The) University of Edinburgh and Edinburgh University (the former being the official official name. However actual usage is distinctly with Edinburgh University (also abbreviated as Ed. Uni.) so most people locally know it as its less official name... isn't this similar to listing, for example, (The) United States of America as United States... I did redirect University of Edinburgh to Edinburgh University...

Good to have the discussion which ever way it goes...

'University of Cambridge', 'University of Oxford', despite frequent popular references to Oxford university and Cambridge University, I suggest change to the more formal title.

Bugger the university changing the titles of all the faculties! Anyone know if any other stuff refers to Edinburgh "faculties" when it should now be "schools"? Egoinos
