Wondering how to edit this U.S. City Entry?
The WikiProject U.S. Cities standards might help.

I have lived in "Gold Camp" for 6 years now and I have not ever heard anyone ever call it "Gold Camp". The main page for this article indicates "The community is sometimes colloquially called Gold Canyon." People who live here sometimes call it "Gold Canyon" about 99.99% of the time. In fact, the community sign on the US60 freeway heading east bound indicates that you are entering "Gold Canyon". The only way I found out about "Gold Camp" is Google changed the name of the area from "Gold Canyon" to "Gold Camp". In fact, I would like to see any proof of any businesses named "Gold Camp XXXX" instead of "Gold Canyon Golf Resort", "Gold Canyon Car Wash", "Gold Canyon Bank", "Gold Canyon Community Church", etc.

I too agree that this community is improperly referred to as "Gold Camp". I lived in this town for 4 years, my parents for 15 years, and never before reading this Wikipedia page had i ever heard of it referred to as "Gold Camp" Its proper name is Gold Canyon. I have researched this across many resources and the only reference i can find to "Gold Camp" besides this misguided Wiki is from the US Census Bureau, which isnt responsible for the naming of cites, towns or communities, only counting the people in them.

Searching the Pinal County, State of Arizona, us.gov, usps.gov and many other websites for "Gold Camp, Arizona" returns no results. However searching each of those websites for Gold Canyon, Arizona returns many results, including usps.gov returning a zip code of 85118 for Gold Canyon. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Wallyb132 (talkcontribs) 06:11, 8 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I figured out the whole Gold Camp vs Gold Canyon thing, There is a small settlement or CDP called Gold Camp near Gold Canyon, but Gold Camp is not part of Gold Canyon. Gold Camp is about 14 miles driving, or 10 miles as the bird flies to the southeast of Gold Canyon next to Queen Valley, AZ. For lack of a better description, Gold Camp is a suburb of Queen Valley. I originally found this out using google maps, however google maps doesn't show the label for Gold Camp any longer and if you search for Gold Camp on google maps now, it just shows you Gold Canyon. Bing maps however still get it right, both showing the label for Gold Camp and if you search for Gold Camp, AZ it shows the correct location. See the link below.

Once I can find more information on Gold Camp, such as its demographics, I'll fix wiki pages and separate them into their own pages.
