Does Pennsylvania seriously have so many places called Allegheny Township? Or was this a bug in the rambot or in the census data? Is it possible that some of these Allegeheny Townships are actually the same town sitting on the boundary between multiple counties? Is Allegany a mispelling of Allegheny? -- Anonymoues

Pennsylvania really does have a lot of duplicate townships, take Washington Township, Pennsylvania for instance. Unlike cities which generally do not have duplicate names, the state has these townships which various counties duplicate. They are legally not the same as cities and towns, but important nonetheless. Also, some places spell the word differently. It happens. I don't know if this case is a mispelling, but if it is generated from the rambot, I would assume no (Unlike the census bureau screwed it up). -- Ram-Man
