Welcome to Wikipedia, Bill. It's kinda fun to piece together this stuff from the dim past. Thanks for the contributions you've already made, and I hope you're here to do many more. I'm also a history, geography and geology buff, and a map freak, so I think we'll be bumping into each other. I never walk any place without thinking from time to time of those who have walked on it before. Pollinator 07:22, 28 Feb 2004 (UTC)

Hi could you say where your maps have come from? ie if you made them etc. Thanks. Secretlondon 09:56, Mar 1, 2004 (UTC)

Unverified images[edit]

Hi! Thanks for uploading the following image:

I notice it currently doesn't have an image copyright tag. Could you add one to let us know its copyright status? (You can use {{gfdl}} if you release it under the GNU Free Documentation License, {{fairuse}} if you claim fair use, etc.) If you don't know what any of this means, just let me know at my talk page where you got the images and I'll tag them for you. Thanks so much. [[User:Poccil|Peter O. (Talk, automation script)]] 03:19, Dec 10, 2004 (UTC)

P.S. You can help tag other images at User:Yann/Untagged_Images. Thanks again.

File source problem with File:Wnymap.jpg[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:Wnymap.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of that website's terms of use of its content. However, if the copyright holder is a party unaffiliated from the website's publisher, that copyright should also be acknowledged.

If you have uploaded other files, consider verifying that you have specified sources for those files as well. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged per Wikipedia's criteria for speedy deletion, F4. If the image is copyrighted and non-free, the image will be deleted 48 hours after 06:40, 8 May 2010 (UTC) per speedy deletion criterion F7. If you have any questions or are in need of assistance please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. FASTILYsock(TALK) 06:40, 8 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
