History of US West Coast Organic Food Movement[edit]
I just wanted to put this here from the history and let whoever created it know why... this timeline is supposed to be of agriculture and food technology's history in the entire world, and including only the most important events. If a very few of the following subjects have articles and are of more than local imporatance, they should be added back in. But list of all the farms and people involved in the U.S. west coast organic movement either needs a separate list (which you can create) or should stay out of this one. Please update with items post 2000[edit]
The article is missing items post 2000. I think in many cases it should be kept broad, for example having a larger item or multi-item for precision agriculture and for digital agriculture. The following is likely too detailed as is (but "laserweeding" probably should be mentioned and wikilinked in said multi-item), recently featured this in 2022 in science:
News outlets report about a novel agricultural robot for viable weed control using lasers or "laserweeding".[1] There are similar precision agriculture machines that have been reported before, also e.g. applying low amounts of herbicides and fertilizers with precision while mapping plant locations, in some cases autonomously.[2][3] Their benefits may include "healthier crops and soil, decreased herbicide use, and reduced chemical and labor costs".[1]
It may also be worth considering whether such content should go into a separate article like 21st century agriculture and food technology, with only e.g. the most relevant items or summaries being featured here or content getting transcluded here from there.
Once coverage has improved and the article is up to date, it could be added to the box of timelines at the top of 2022 in science (like Timeline of psychology) if there is at least 1 item on average for the years of the 2020s.
Some of the content may best be added as an informative chart, such as one with statistics about the adoption and development of agricultural robots.
Moreover, I don't think this is worth mentioning there, at least in the form as is:
2005 – Lasers used to replace stickers by writing on food to "track and trace" and identify individual pieces of fresh fruit.[4]
Maybe a broader, slightly larger item for Produce traceability&Product information developments could get added.

Lastly, the article seems to be missing at least some other basic inventions and developments such as that of the oven, According to that article:
The earliest ovens were found in Central Europe, and date back to 29,000 BC.
