Doune pics[edit]

HI - Will shortly add a pic from the car park and perhaps one of the far corner the monty pyton knight taunted down from, but they're not ideal and if anyone can get newer/better pics that would be good....dave souza 18:04, 28 Nov 2004 (UTC)

Thanks Dave. I particularly like the yellowish one. Excellent! -- Middenface 02:46, 21 Dec 2004 (UTC)
Thanks entirely due to User:Deez otherwise known as Mo, who took the excellent pictures - given the invite to choose I did so and uploaded them, as much better than my pics..dave souza 18:52, 21 Dec 2004 (UTC)

I've blocked him again. Keep an eye out for an anonymous IP edits making the same allegations. If they turn up, get an admin to post an immediate block. Slán FearÉIREANN\(caint) 01:44, 13 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

removed spurious vandalism warnings Jkelly 01:38, 12 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I don't know about the vandalism, but I was ammused by your poetic edit summary. Jkelly 01:11, 12 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
The "vandalism" was my replacing the AfD tag on Sao Pan Thee, which Myolin and his sock army claimed was vandalism. I've been meaning to ask an admin to review the edit history of that deleted article and review whether the sock's vandalism tags should be removed from my talk page. Middenface 01:18, 12 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
You did a revert on my edits to JonBenet Ramsey page. I did make some links to my wiki, but if you looked at the pages I linked to, they provide both sides on controversial issues as well as further details for those who are interested. I'm certainly not trying to plug a particular point of view WRT whodunnit since I myself have no idea. So I view my edits as helpful, not spam. I don't want to engage in a "revert war" with you, but would like you to reconsider your decision to wipe out my changes. FWIW, my wiki has been listed in the sources for the JonBenet Ramsey page for 6 months or so, so I don't think it's exactly a controversial site plugging a one-sided view of the case. Thanks. Hi! I saw you've been actively making a lot of good edits in an article covered by our project, so I wanted to invite you to join us! The project is undergoing a large expansion right now, and we need quality editors! We are a WikiProject with the goal of improving the quality of articles having to do with Ufology, Cryptozoology, the Supernatural, and other topics. We provide a centralized forum for concerns that effect multiple articles within our scope, as well as methods to rate and categorize articles by quality, get input on how to improve an article from our other members, and a collaborative project once a month where the whole project pitches in to make an article great. You won't be required to do anything special once you join; all that we ask of members is that they sign our participants page, though if you do join you may also find it useful to add some of our pages (especially our main talk page to your watchlist to keep yourself apprised of what we're up to. If you have questions about any of this, please don't hesitate to contact me directly. Thank you for your time, and happy editing! --InShaneee 14:53, 29 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Image:Sarah silverman publicity shot.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Sarah silverman publicity shot.jpg. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the image description page and edit it to add {{Replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that any fair use images which are replaceable by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. --Chowbok 19:55, 8 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Replaceable fair use
Replaceable fair use

Thanks for uploading Image:Linda fiorentino.jpg. I noticed the description page specifies that the media is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed media could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this media is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the media description page and edit it to add {{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use media by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, fair use media which could be replaced by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if not used in an article), per our Fair Use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Addhoc (talk) 19:14, 16 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
