I suggested it a long while ago (probably on Talk:Cadillac (automobile) and never followed through; I believe it would be a good idea. The vast majority of the English-speaking world doesn't even know that "Cadillac" could mean anything BUT the car. —Morven 17:51, Nov 3, 2004 (UTC)

That's what I came here to say too. When I wanted to add The Cadillacs, I first went Cadillac (disambiguation), only to find there was nothing. The car is definitely the most famous meaning. Tuf-Kat 02:54, Feb 16, 2005 (UTC)

Matrix Reloaded[edit]

The major car scene with Naobi/ Jade Pinkett Smith was a full Cadillac affair with the CTS and the Twins in the Escalade. This is factual and I do not know why there is resistance to having it mentioned in Wiki.

Theres no doubt that the reason why it was placed in a movie like that was to change the brands target demographic. Teenagers, not retirees.

If you dont like the way i have put it, why not edit, instead of revert ?

POV[edit]

Is this sentence not POV?

"The car was, sadly, not a commercial success, but today stands out as a modern classic and more than able to hold its own, image-wise, next to its Mercedes-Benz SL rival."

Many would disagree, even today.

The whole section on the diesel engine is POV and is cut and pasted from the Oldsmobile engine page. It is an over simplification to say that the only problem with the Olds diesel was water in the fuel.

Deleted section[edit]

I have been researching Cadillac a bit and haven't found this story (about Joe Louis and advertising to black drivers being the source of the company's resurgence) anywhere else. Which year?[edit]

In 1911, Cadillac was the first gasoline internal combustion engine auto to incorporate electric start, as opposed to earlier crank start.
