A few similarities could be drawn with Dennis the Menace.

The article says that bapu derived heavily from Dennis the Menace. I have my doubts, having followed Budugu. The inference may have to be removed if no references are forthcoming. --Gurubrahma 18:36, 25 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

This is absolutely ridiculous.... first bapu did not write budugu...he only drew his characters.Budugu is has complete roots in telugu traditons....just becasue both are children one should not draw foolish conclusions...ANy furhtre discusiioon of similarities will seriuolsy bring forth a defamation suit against the author.
