Welcome to the Wikipedia[edit]

Welcome, newcomer!

Here are some useful tips to ease you into the Wikipedia experience:

First, take a look at the Wikipedia Tutorial, and perhaps dabble a bit in the test area.

Hi Iddqd, thanks for the Trojan Horse pictures. Can you give sources for them, though? I.e. who took the picture of the touristy horse, and who made the (19th century) image? (I think it's not a painting but rather an etching). cheers, dab 09:46, 9 Nov 2004 (UTC)

thanks for your reply, iddqd; you can add the sources of the pictures you upload to the image page; the pages for the trojan horse images you uploaded are at Image:Trojan-horse.jpg and Image:TrojanHorseMythImage.jpg. You should add the source of the image to that page, and also a copyright Template. For expample, if the image is free of Copyright, you type {{PD}}. On Wikipedia, Copyright is taken very seriously, and if you are unsure if an image is copyrighted, you need to say {{fairuseunsure}}. I found the source on history101.net of the touristy Trojan Horse and added it for you. But I am not sure, this image might be copyrighted. I see you have uploaded other images also; please make sure you give as much information as to their origin as you can. It would also be cool if we found out the artist who made the Britannica etching, but that is not absolutely necessary, of course (it's enough to know that it is too old to be copyrighted).
