References, etc.[edit]

I've done an overhaul of some parts of this article, especially concerning genre and the references portion which was really lacking. A lot of critical work has been done on Pearl, so I've added for the most part only book-length studies of some note, though the articles by Wellek and D. W. Robertson I've also included, as they're somewhat exemplary pieces by quite well-known scholars and easily available in reprint. I know the formatting is probably very wrong for this site, but I need to go to sleep so hopefully someone else can work that out for me. The next step would be to improve the summary of the story, which I've just touched up here and there, and could use some real attention. Cheers. (Eeesh 00:44, 5 February 2007 (UTC))[reply]
