This is to be used in conjunction with other sources ([1] [2] [3]) as not every detail will be in the New York Times.

  • February 1, 1933: A extended to Jay Street. At late nights, Sundays and holidays, A doesn't run, and AA goes 207th to Jay. [NYT 2-1-1933]
  • March 20, 1933: A extended to Bergen Street. [NYT 3-20-1933]
  • July 1, 1933: C/CC starts. CC from 205th to Hudson Terminal, C one-way for 5 hours in the morning and 3 in the afternoon between 205th and Bergen, and a southbound theater express. [NYT 7-1-1933]
  • August 19, 1933: GG opens Queens Plaza to Nassau Street, E opens Roosevelt Avenue to Hudson Terminal. E makes all local stops?? [NYT 8-18-1933]
  • October 7, 1933: A extended to Church Avenue, C still ends at Bergen Street, AA/CC/E still end at Hudson terminal. [NYT 10-7-1933]
  • January 1, 1936: E rerouted to East Broadway. [NYT 1-1-1936, 1-2-1936]
  • April 9, 1936: A rerouted to Rockaway Avenue, E extended through Rutgers Street Tunnel to Church Avenue, C rerouted from Bergen to Hoyt-Schermerhorn, HH begins. [NYT 4-6-1936]
  • December 31, 1936: E extended to Kew Gardens.
  • April 24, 1937: E begins rush-hour two-way express service on Queens Blvd between 169th Street and Church Avenue, with EE locals between Forest Hills and Greenpoint (huh?). At other times E runs local in Queens. I guess it was always local east of Forest Hills. [NYT 4-25-1937]
  • July 1, 1937: GG finished, service not indicated.
  • December 15, 1940: BB and F begin. BB rush hours between 168th and 34th/6th, non-rush hours AA beteeen 168th and Hudson terminal via 8th. A and GG have no changes. Rush hours Concourse express: D to Hudson Terminal via 6th, C to Hoyt via 8th. Non-rush hours, D is local in Bronx and express in Manhattan north of 59th Street, then local on 6th Ave to Hudson Terminal. CC rush hours only between Bedford Park and Hudson Terminal. Both Queens expres services run all the time. E turns back at Broadway-Lafayette on Houston rather than continuing to Church Avenue. F runs between Parsons Blvd and Church Avenue via 6th and Houston. F is express all the way in Queens, not sure about E. On Saturdays Concourse express runs southbound until noon and northbound after, as both C and D. Washington Heights local also has special Saturday schedule. [NYT 12-5-1940]
