Westminster Abbey was built by Edward the Confessor. It is a national English Shrine. Westminster Abbey's official name is "The Collegiate Church of St. Peter". Westminster Abbey is where many English kings and queens have been buried. Westminster Abbey also offers a choir school, that is avaliable to boy, ages seven to 13. The Choir school has been given collegiate ranks.

Westminster is an Abbey because it once was a seat of a bishop, but a bishop has only ever served there once.

Westminster also has many historical objects. There are many poet's works, preserved there, the Window of the Battle of Britain, by Hugh Easton, and George II naval sword.
