wendland[edit]

You removed my insertion of Finland for Wendland. Would you then mind writing what Wendland is? Preferably in the article. --Fred-Chess 18:56, 10 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Wendland is usually the land of the Wends, i.e. northeastern Germany. The Slavic Wends were sometimes at war with Denmark.--Wiglaf 19:16, 10 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]

PS, now, I have had a look at the article on Wendland, and I understand that you're a bit confused. Alfhild[edit]

Alfhild was a anglian daughter of a dux of Northalbinger. North-Albinger means the historical region northly of Elbe (Dithmarsche, Stormarn). Sigurd Ring win his Kingdom in the Battle of Bravalla against Harald Wartooth. The penisula Anglia is upside of Haithabu a part of the danish kingdom from King Gottrik, former of Haithabu 804 and Former of the Danewall 808. I think Sigurds residence was in Syddanmark upside the Widuu River (friesian). Harald Wartooth was the son of Hrœrekr Ringslinger, King of Zealand with residence in Lethre. I think Harald the mildi in Lethre is the same person. Gottrik was the son in Law (not the son) of Harald the mildi, son of Sigurd Ring and Alfhild and forms the kingdom of Danemark.
