Thanks for uploading Image:FedraSansPro main.gif. I notice the image page currently doesn't specify who created the image, so the copyright status is therefore unclear. If you have not created the image yourself then you need to argue that we have the right to use the image on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the image yourself then you should also specify where you found it, ie in most cases link to the website where you got it, and the terms of use for content from that page.

If the image also doesn't have a copyright tag then you must also add one. If you created/took the picture then you can use {{gfdl}} to release it under the GFDL. If you can claim fair use use {{fairuse}}.) See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other images, please check that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thanks so much. --cohesion | talk 03:42, 9 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Magazine Infobox[edit]

Alex, I notice that you are about as new here as I am, but you seem to know what's going on, so I hope you can answer my question. What is holding somebody back (you, myself, anybody else) from simply making an infobox for magazines (and then adding it to the page listing infoboxes and/or implementing it in articles about various magazines)? I don't understand why the magazine infobox is just sitting there in the "proposed" section (along with all the other nice-looking proposals.) Wikipedia says this:

If you make a table for a new project, it should be placed on the Wikipedia:Infobox page when it is proposed (in the proposed section) and moved to the main list when it has been implemented.

Does anybody have the right to "implement" a userbox, or are there some requirements??? Dave Runger 00:57, 5 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Frutiger, Gotham[edit]

Hi Alex, thanks for fixing the Frutiger specimen. And, the Gotham specimen looks great. Nice ice blue-ish color there too. I've only used that face once for a print job but like its NY voice. On my list of faces I'd like to add are Jonathan Hoefler's Requiem face, MSL Gothic now renamed Benton Gothic but developed for Martha Stewart Living magazine by Tobias Frere-Jones and Cyrus Highsmith, Architype Renner (a version of Futura with his original alternate characters and old style figures, Eric Gill's Joanna and Perpetua, and the Scala faces. Thanks again. Jim CApitol3 12:17, 22 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Gael Towey, the Chief Creator Officer at MSLO is, I think, responsible for much of the great type in their publications. I am curious, what is Archer? The new face in Blueprint? They have some really great proprietary faces between the various publications. The weddings magazine was usn an old style serif, very sharp, sort of a Garamond. It is great. Their impact on other publications has been immense. I like the feel of Real Simple, I think Robert Valentine set up the look, it doesn't hold my imagination on content though. Archer, Benton Sans[edit]

Hi. I wanted to let you know that Archer is scheduled for public sale in 2007. Also that Font Bureau is now calling MSL Gothic Benton Sans (not Benton Gothic). CApitol3 14:26, 17 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

From Jonathan Hoefler. He was not sure as yet which month. I'd like to try it in a letterpress project I will be working on in August '07. Hope it's out then. CApitol3 13:22, 22 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Surveyor[edit]

Hi Alexhb. Great specimen for the Frere-Jones article. I've begun an article on Surveyor, and wondered if you would be interested in making a specimen. Thanks. CApitol3 03:26, 18 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
