Most of the material on this page doesn't, in my opinion, belong here. It might belong on Abrahamic religions, but not here.

More specifically, this page contains

a description of what the Hebrew (and, by inclusion, Christian) scriptures say about Abraham, which admittedly mentions God but doesn't really tell us much about the "Abrahamic God"
the fact that Jews and Arabs regard Abraham as an ancestor: true but again telling us nothing about the "Abrahamic God"
the Christian idea of spiritual (as opposed to biological) descent from Abraham: again, doesn't say much about the "Abrahamic God"
the Islamic view of Abraham as a prophet; once again, telling us nothing about the "Abrahamic God".

The final paragraph is admittedly about the "Abrahamic God" but non-NPOV in multiple ways.

I think the first paragraph can stay; the rest should go; and it might be worth expanding on some of the notable characteristics of God in the Abrahamic religions.

Done. But further work is called for; the page should expand on some of the characteristics of God specifically asserted by the "Abrahamic religions" and not by theism-as-such. Notably, the portion of his (alleged) history of interaction with the human race that all the "Abrahamic" religions agree about. Gareth McCaughan 00:13, 2005 Apr 10 (UTC)

Since Allah is simply the Arabic word for God, is there any reason to use phrases like "Abrahamic God or Allah" and "God/Allah"? It seems to imply that Allah is somehow different and apart from God or Abrahamic God, which is especially ironic considering that this article is precisely about the common God of the Abrahamic religions. What is the point of this article?[edit]

It appears like everything in here is already in God. Another user brought this up on Talk:God. Or if you really, really, think there is some special content in here it could be merged into God and then have this page become a redirect.
