Proposed Amendments[edit]

This article needs to be split and filled out. The term "Kree-Skrull War" refers to (1) a specific storyline in Avengers #89-97, and (2) a long running conflict that pops up in many Marvel storylines over the last 40 years.

Currently the article contains information on both ll jumbled together. The introduction paragraph states that the article is about the Avengers story. However, this entire paragraph:

Skrull Empress R'kill and the Kree Supreme Intelligence believed that the war had reached a stalemate and proposed a final resolution through single combat between the Skrull warrior Raksor and the Kree soldier Bel-Dann. The Fantastic Four and the Inhumans goaded the combatants until they joined forces to ward off their attackers. The arbiter of the battle, Uatu the Watcher, commented that their willingness to cooperate demonstrated that the Kree and Skrull could work together too. In the aftermath of the conflict, the Illuminati paid a visit to the Skrulls, making it clear that they would not tolerate involving Earth further in the conflict.[2]

Does not take place in the classic Avengers storyline. It is a different story from a different set of comics. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.154.13.203 (talk) 15:08, 20 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Context[edit]

Without some explanation what this "war" is about, its origin etc it should not be in the Wikipedia. It should have some link to reality. GerardM 20:26, 12 Jan 2004 (UTC)

I think it comes from the Marvel Universe -- I do recall seeing something about some people called the Kree in an old comic book collection. MIRV (talk) 20:32, 12 Jan 2004 (UTC) . . .and Marvel Universe is the only page that links to this article. That settles it, I think. MIRV (talk) 20:35, 12 Jan 2004 (UTC)

"a skirmish in the Kree-Skrull War did occur recently". When's "recently"? There should be references to the fictional timeline in the form of actual comic book issue numbers. I haven't been collecting Marvel comics for several (10+ I'd say) years (and FF not even then) so I cannot provide those. Jae 02:10, Apr 2, 2004 (UTC)

When did it take place?[edit]

Just a thought, but as this is a story originally appearing in comics, wouldn't it be a good idea to actually list which issues it appeared in? Lokicarbis 13:20, 25 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Punctuation amendment: "Kree-Skrull War" to "Kree–Skrull War" in article, including title[edit]

Should the hyphen in Kree-Skrull War be changed to an en-dash per MOS:ENDASH and general conventions on Wikipedia, as exemplified by articles such as the Spanish–American War, the numerous Burmese–Siamese wars, the Ashanti–Fante War, the Ga–Fante War, the Ottoman–Wahhabi War, the Swedish–Norwegian War (1814), the Ashanti–Akim–Akwapim War, the Ndwandwe–Zulu War, and many others. I would normally just make this change without consulting anyone in the talkpage, since it's usually a non-controversial minor edit. Given that the Kree–Skrull War appears to have canonically been spelled with a hyphen, however, I'm not so sure. I think that the edit should be made, but I'd rather have some consensus here before doing so. Thoughts? ―Nøkkenbuer (talkcontribs) 07:50, 18 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Renamed to remove "The"[edit]

I have removed "The" from the article title. All other articles linking to this topic had a redirect linking to Kree-Skrull War; by removing "The", the redirects are now direct links. ~Anachronist (talk) 00:13, 12 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
