Vulnerable Native Breed[edit]

This breed is classed in Britain as a VNB - a breed which originated in the UK but now has registration numbers with the Kennel Club of less then 300 puppies per year.

I'm a Canadian teenager on a gap year before Uni and I'm really interested in this. Would anyone like a VNB paragraph/link on this page? I can write it, but am ignorant about formatting etc. Plus, I'm trying to put together a whole collection on all 29 breeds on this list, including history and so on, using Wikipedia as one of my many sources. If you can help, or are interested at all, please contact me either on my talk page or at green_ied_dragon@hotmail.com

Barking[edit]

I hope nobody minds that I added a little about the dog being a bit of a barker if left alone in the yard for periods of time. My neighbors have one and boy does he bark. Mokoniki (talk) 01:38, 9 August 2009 (UTC)Mokoniki[reply]

This breed is known to bark more than some others. That said, many dogs of different breeds will bark if left alone and it seems odd that you provide this conclusion solely on the basis of your expreience with one individual. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 204.114.52.40 (talk) 19:40, 26 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Breeders links[edit]

I have removed all breeders links as per WP:ELNO. Please do not add them again. Miyagawa (talk) 12:47, 1 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

"Sweat glands"[edit]

All dogs have sweat glands only on the paws, no dog (including Welsh terriers) perspires anywhere else on the body. This is false. Please remove this from the article. Thanks! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 107.219.207.67 (talk) 20:29, 5 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for the comment. Hope you see this reply. I searched for a reliable source to refute your challenge. Unable to find any that do not point back to our article. The AKC site does not mention this in the breed standard. None of the other linked sources for this article do either. Therefore I am removing that entire sentence, since I now have no idea if or why their coat smells. Anyone wanting to replace this in the article; please locate a source. Book maybe?... Thanks.
