Notes[edit]

Now this I do have to argue with - site has been running since 2000, has 1.5 million pageviews per month (awstats figures, so reasonably accurate), and is the largest and most significat site on mineralogy on the internet. More importantly, it is a community site built from contributions of its members. May only have 120 sites linking (actually, it's probably far more) but check the quality of the links, many universities, etc. which is why it has pagerank 7.

Also note that the majority of mineral pages on wikipedia have direct links to mindat.org (not added by me!) --70.24.167.163 01:38, 13 Apr 2005 (UTC)

The mineral pages have Mindat links because I added most of them as a source of good info during page creation, updates or rewrites. I also imported and wikified the Mindat list as List of minerals (complete) in late Nov. 2004. I'm not affiliated with Mindat in any way, just found it to be a great resource.
