can you please help me find out why Bugsy sings Lady is a Tramp in the storyline becuase i have no ides whatsoever and i have a singing exam on friday i need to know it for!!!! HELP!

Completely wrong plot summary for eleven years!!!!![edit]

Only the very first version of this article purported to be about the Rooney-Garland movie. Immediately on pass 2 it got converted to an article about the original source musical. Only problem is the plot synopsis bore a vague resemblance (with some caveats) to the plot of the Rooney-Garland movie but had absolutely NOTHING in common with the plot of the original musical other than kids putting on a musical review. No, the stage musical has NO threat to send anyone to a work farm(!!!), the money is raised for a theatre stage owner to pay off a dept- he lacks full creative control of his theatre until he does. This almost 100% false plot summary was in this article for eleven years!!! There are plenty of online databases of broadway shows in which this could have been checked out! Apparently there are multiple versions

Apparently, there is a revised/updated adaptation of Babes in Arms in circulation and the earlier version does indeed have the work farm motif. Need to research further. The production I saw last night has the newer plot which has apparently been in wide circulation for several years. Sorry then for the rant!!! OK, according to this website [1] "In the late 50's, Rodgers commisioned a sanitized, de-politicized rewrite. It is the version of Babes in Arms which has been produced for the last forty years". Wouldn't have meddled further here - but your first "correction" didn't make sense. Nearly put "Rodgers and George Oppenheimer" but am not sure to what extent Rodgers was concerned with whatever musical changes were made, since he didn't usually orchestrate his work himself.
