The picture[edit]

When I experienced tunnel vision there was no blacking out. Everything outside of the focus was smudged, blurry and warped but there was still colour. Anyone else agree that the picture is misleading? Also why is it a cow? I suppose a cow could be seen as threatening which could cause tunnel vision, but I think a more obviuosly threatening entity would better describe this phenomena.

Comments[edit]

Ummm . . . isn't the phrase "peripheral vision"?—The preceding unsigned comment was added by Wiwaxia (talkcontribs) 00:37, 25 October 2003 (UTC).[reply]

Ummm . . . How about making the correction without annoying commentary?—The preceding unsigned comment was added by 64.65.185.2 (talkcontribs) 15:15, 20 July 2005 (UTC).[reply]

Bitemporal hemianopia is different from tunnel vision, and suggests different pathology. Please do not merge them. 203.166.99.230 08:54, 31 August 2007 (UTC)TT[reply]

How is it different? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 65.115.37.130 (talk) 02:12, 20 January 2008 (UTC) At a first glance, I see that tunnel vision is like seeing only a tiny portion of what you actually see (just a small, round area) while bitempora---whatever is missing half of each side of vision. It's the difference between a circle and a rectangle. --Heero Kirashami (talk) 02:50, 25 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

So just because the two symptoms are different in the SHAPE of the vision they can see, they are not different? NO! They are different. They are different Period. Shakermover (talk) 04:53, 22 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Tunnel vision[edit]

In management we speak of 'Tunnel vision' when departments are not able to see the bigger picture and focus on their own objectives. I think a page discussing this would be a good addition. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 193.108.214.219 (talk) 14:39, 15 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Web searching[edit]

I would argue for Tunnel Vision article to remain separate as it is now. I specifically did a search on "wiki tunnel vision" and it took me straight here and within the first few sentences the article answered my query in a concise way, rather than it be embedded within some other article. Also I believe Tunnel vision is a common enough term to warrant it's own page. 203.94.152.66 (talk) 03:17, 27 May 2008 (UTC)Ian Strange[reply]

tunnel vission, what options do i have?[edit]

back in july of '87, i suffered a closed head injury putting me in a coma for 4 and a half to 5 weeks. My family was told that I would not live and that if I did live, I would be a vegetable for the rest of my life. Thank God, I lived and am not a vegetable. We were then told that I would be blind for the rest of my life do to a stroke. I now have tunnel vission. What are my options in getting more sight restored surgically. I have read about stem cell replacement and the bioinic eye both. I am very interested in the bionic eye, but do not know how advanced it has become. how do i find out? Please let me know at by emailing me at Pokerbuds697@live.com

Intense anger[edit]

"Intense anger, due to the body being rapidly flooded with adrenaline and oxygen". Is there a source for this?--ShinRa.Electic.Power.Company (talk) 03:22, 1 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

medref[edit]

added tag, but did not completely work on this article as it contains aspects outside of the topic(health)..(Optical instruments....Mask, goggle, and helmet users?)--Ozzie10aaaa (talk) 18:15, 11 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Kalnienk vision[edit]

Is there a reliable source for the claim that it is also known has Kalnienk vision, preferably containing an explanation for this name? Googling "kalnienk" almost exclusively returns the phrase "also known as Kalnienk vision" and the use of it for a song name; these may all be references to this page. Searching PubMed for it doesn't return anything. Bomeister (talk) 14:52, 7 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

No, it's vandalism that was shat into the article in 2010, and has since been used by careless sources. DS (talk) 14:42, 18 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I think this page needs some more info[edit]

For example, how is tunnel vision fixed? How is it diagnosed? I think we need more info than just the causes and random other stuff DiaamondMiner999 (talk) 16:34, 12 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
