San Francisco Maritime National Historical Park[edit]

Hi and welcome. Thanks for correcting the name of the San Francisco Maritime National Historical Park; probably my error in the first place. Incidentally there is no need to refer a move like that to Wikipedia:Requested moves; you can just go ahead and do the move yourself (although in this case I already have).

I didn't understand why you took:

The park is often referred to as the San Francisco Maritime Museum, although strictly speaking that is only one part of the park. The park is supported by the San Francisco Maritime National Park Association.

out of the article. Basically those sentences are there because there are redirects with the enboldened names pointing at this article, and it is good practice to explain, to anyone following such a link, why they have ended up on this article. On the other hand I may have misunderstood the circumstances around those names. I've replaced the sentences; if you still feel they are wrong feel free to take them out again, but please explain why in the comment. -- Chris j wood 01:18, 3 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your reply; the changes you have made are fine. In fact they clarify matters for me too; I had seen old references to the San Francisco Maritime Museum as an organization, but I'd assumed the confusion was actually between the National Historical Park and one of its (its first?) buildings.
