When was it announced that CVNX-1 would be named Enterprise?

ST47: it wasnt....i fixed it

CVX also stands for Comunidad de Vida Cristiana (Christian Lifestyle Community) that is a Jesuits- based community for layman (non-members of congregation), married people, etc. I think it needs a clarification page for second meaning. (contact cps402085 at yahoo es)

Shouldn't we merge this with the Article about CVN-21?

Yeah, we should merege this article with CVN-21.

I agree with merging articles.

In the meantime, the article as written said:

The aircraft would be launched from four catapults. Two on the main deck and two on either sides of the ship. The design was very futuristc and imposing leaving no doubt that if made, the ship would have been the terror of the seas and oceans of the world.
But sadly, the U.S. Navy, citing huge development and design costs cancelled the project and opted to go with the current (and much cost effective) upgrades of the Nimitz carriers.

I don't necessarily disagree with this personally, but I deleted some of this and reworked the rest to make it more neutral to meet Wikipedia policy about expressing editors' opinions (see Wikipedia:Neutral point of view). --A. B. 01:53, 23 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
