"Norway is the only Scandinavian country that is not a member of the European Union. This caused some amusement in France in 2000, when it was noted that the map of Sweden and Finland without Norway on the Euro notes looked rather like male genitalia."

Removed this. It is an error in that the Euro coins and notes do depict Norway, as well as Switzerland, and the three EU members which do not use the Euro. Grunners 01:57, 20 May 2004 (UTC)[reply]

No it's not really an error. At the time, Norway was not included in the european map on the Euro coins, and therefore the statement above that the map on the coin looked like a male genitalia is true. HOWEVER the coins have later been changed and Norway is now included. Mortyman (talk) 23:31, 15 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

This entire article is uncited garbage and needs a complete rewrite with appropriate citations in place. 08:22, 6 May 2008 (UTC) White Mage Cid

From the section "Relations With The United States": "Norway has recently increased relations with the United States, due to a moderate U.S. (and Swedish) military presence put in place there to deal with the Charlist King Sekret Service (Operation Nordic Thunder). Some upcoming issues facing prime minister Jens Stoltenberg concerning the U.S./Swedish military presence include, but are not limited to, a large airlift of rock salt into Norway by the U.S. to resupply its forces there, and how to curb the increased rash of practical jokes played upon American forces during Russ."

Proposed WikiProject - Bilateral relations[edit]

There is now a upstart WikiProject to establish a concensus about WP's International bilateral relations articles, including "X-Y (country) relations" articles, at Wikipedia:Centralized discussion/Bilateral international relations. Interested parties should add their names at Wikipedia:WikiProject International relations/Bilateral relations task force if they wish to play a part in the discussions or have an Interest in this going forward. Thank you for your attention. CaribDigita (talk) 00:13, 30 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Oil disputes[edit]

There's nothing in the article about the disputes between Britain and Norway over North Sea Oil. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 91.104.66.173 (talk) 07:37, 19 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Nor the dispute between Norway and Russia up in the Barents Sea. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 129.240.157.124 (talk) 12:53, 29 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

China–Norway relations: Links, or text-suggestions needed.[edit]

Is there an article about China–Norway relations?

If someone has any relevant external links or text-suggestions, then please post them here, so that someone (or myself) can edit the article (to which this discussion belongs), or write an article about China–Norway relations?

My first suggestion for text (which I have no reference for):

"Norway's representative has been summoned by China, in connection with a Norwegian organization's granting of the Nobel Prize, to a Chinese dissident, in 2010." --S(l)ick nation (talk) 15:08, 9 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Any other suggestions to questions, that the "China/Norway-section" ought to answer?[edit]

  • Has Norway or China, ever expelled any Chinese or Norwegian diplomats?

--S(l)ick nation (talk) 15:08, 9 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

If I am wrong about leaving the following texts out of the article, then please make your voice heard.[edit]

  • "A Norwegian NGO's granting of Nobel peace prize to a Chinese dissident, is expected to cost Norway "dearly", according to an editorial in Verdens Gang." (Ref: October 9, 2010 p.2: Men hvis kinesiske ledere nå går helt i vranglås, kan Nobelkommiteens modige valg i verste fall komme til å koste Norge dyrt. Det er i tilfelle verdt prisen.)

--S(l)ick nation (talk) 15:26, 9 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Canada: Text moved to discussion[edit]

There is no mention of how many Norwegian citizens live (and/or commute from Norway) in Canada. Until this information is available, then it makes little sense to mentioning unreferenced ESTIMATES regarding the ambiguous (?) term "descendants of Norwegians". --S(l)ick nation (talk) 16:22, 9 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Congo-Norway[edit]

What about including Congo-Norway releations, because of the Moland-French crisis? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 84.211.0.120 (talk) 13:15, 26 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
