Doesn't Adam Woodyatt from EastEnders live in Southam?. I seem to remeber hearing that he does/did. G-Man 20:13, 10 Feb 2005 (UTC)

Yep I can verify that - my mum has given up her parking space for him on occasion. Greg Robson 09:07, 11 Feb 2005 (UTC)

Missing Information[edit]

In the caption: Approximate route of the London-Birmingham section - of what?! C0pernicus (talk) 22:46, 11 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The proposes route of HS2 railway line. It's given as the image title. I don't know if it's a relevant image without a mention in the transport links section of the article or whether it should be deleted. Either way I don't know how to edit an image or its caption so someone else will have to do it. MidlandLinda (talk) 21:28, 2 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Southam Library[edit]

I don't go home as much as I should, but from what I understand the Library no longer exists. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.7.136.238 (talk) 14:31, 18 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Incorrect. The library is still in place and fully functioning. Snoopjohnd (talk) 20:43, 30 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Local currency???[edit]

The article currently says "In the medieval era the town minted its own local currency because local people found regular English currency too high in value for everyday use.", but no source is cited and this seems, prima facie, a very doubtful assertion. Can anyone with good local knowledge substantiate the claim? My hunch is that it might be a garbled allusion to 17th-century (not medieval) traders tokens. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 92.13.8.104 (talk) 23:53, 28 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I have now added a 'citation needed' tag to this claim. If, after a reasonable time, it still remains unsupported then I will delete it. 92.12.17.70 (talk) 18:59, 15 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I have now deleted the sentence, as no citation has been provided and I doubt one will be. 92.7.62.35 (talk) 19:02, 22 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
