For some reason, Erolos' edit is no longer listed in the history of this page. It disappeared when I re-added Category:Deities of Dungeons & Dragons. I kept the category he added, however. → JarlaxleArtemis 04:27, May 6, 2005 (UTC)

It's back there again now. It disappeared, though, when Wikipedia was acting extremely slowly, and an admin blocked all edits a few seconds later. → JarlaxleArtemis 18:14, May 8, 2005 (UTC)

War of the Spider Queen[edit]

I removed this section of the article because, as currently written, it is 1) non-enyclopedic, and 2) copied word-for-word from one of the novels, & thus a violation of copyright. Robbstrd 22:06, 13 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

War of the Spider Queen (continued?)[edit]

Actually, Vhaeraun has shown up again, missing a hand, and hiring an army, in the most recent book. I have not read the whole saga, so can't say precisely how it became missing, but it seems it did so in the battle with his son.

Instead of actually quoting the books, perhaps it should be redone in such a way as to simply explain the events in short, a retelling, but with basic detail.

Finally, it should be noted that his plots in the War of the Spider Queen have apparently all failed, though he's still alive.

Pointless edit wars are fun! We can keep this going forever... :)

Copyvio[edit]

The War of the Spider Queen section, added by user:JarlaxleArtemis, was removed due to copyright violations. Those the material in quotes was attributed, other parts were not. See pages 327, 328, & 332 of Richard Baker's Condemnation (first printing, May 2003):

With the coming of Lolth's Silence, a band of drow from Menzoberranzan led by Quenthel Baenre asked a Vhaeraunite priest by the name of Tzirik to consult his god and find information concerning the matter. The priest led them through the astral plane and into the Demonweb Pits—the domain of Lolth. Upon reaching the sealed entrance to Lolth's grand temple at the heart of the plane, Tzirik betrayed the company of Menzoberranyr, summoning his god Vhaeraun. "It is as I thought," he said to Tzirik, who had fallen prostrate at his feet. "Rise, my son. You have done well, and brought me to a place from which I was barred." Vhaeraun wanted to slay his mother in order to gain control of the drow pantheon of deities.

"Dear Mother," Vhaeraun said, addressing the face, "you were foolish to leave yourself in such a state" He then hammered away at the seal to Lolth's temple, a gigantic thing of obsidian sculpted into the visage of Lolth, causing a great crack to form in the structure. Shortly thereafter, a black rift appeared in the air near the Face of Lolth, and Selvetarm, the Champion of Lolth (and also Vhaeraun's son), emerged.

"Depart, Masked One," the spider-god commanded in a tortured, burbling voice. "It is forbidden for you to intrude here."

"Do not presume to stand between me and my destiny, Selvetarm," Vhaeraun snarled in reply.

Vhaeraun and Selvetarm battled, fighting in the realm of the physical as well as magically and psychically. The stone plaza disintegrated beneath the embattled gods, and they fell into the black abyss below, still engaged in their furious struggle. --Robbstrd 20:05, 14 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Jaezred Chaulssin[edit]

Where exactly is it stated Jaezred Chaulssin is a Vhaeraunian group? I haven't spotted them in any game accessory yet, and that's not implied in WoTC. They appear to be atheist dragon disciples or somesuch. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 88.115.32.19 (talk) 09:15, 3 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
