The feeling of identity is off course not static, but dynamic, as is mentioned in the article. I believe most people in Troms would mention Sør-Troms, Indre Troms, Midt-Troms (which might overlap Indre Troms) Nord-Troms and the Tromsø-region, as these subdivisions are much used in the local media. This is mostly a more modern subdivision, and not mentioned in the document from 1950 which the article links to. Orcaborealis 21:52, 20 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Good point. Cf. also the Large areas of Finland and Provinces of Finland (=modern counties, clusters of "regions"), Regions of Norway (consisting of groups of counties and of smaller "traditional districts"), the Swedish Riksområden versus the original Lands of Sweden (clusters of traditional provinces and of modern counties, three of which are now called "regions") and Lands of Denmark (ancient geographical divisions similar to the new "regions" which will soon replace the counties). Not to mention the municipalities, diocese, sýslur, amter, fylker, län... and the EU statistical regions, where applicable.... <phew>

But should the article be moved/renamed again for consistency? That would entail a lot of extra work on all the articles that deal with the "historical districts" =[ //Big Adamsky 13:02, 28 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Maps in Telemark districts.[edit]

Are the maps in the articles on the three parts of Telemark really correct? They seem to highlight parts of Oppland/Kriko 00:13, 19 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Ox carts and dog sledges???[edit]

The article mentions travel by ox carts and dog sledge. To my knowledge, ox carts were seldom, and dog sledges never used for travel in Norway. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 190.212.3.43 (talk) 13:53, 21 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
