Re: Parsec.[edit]

Okay I misplaced the decimal point, somehow, but surely a number with 15 significant figures doesn't deserve to be marked as an approximation! (And the Astronomical unit seems to be known to only 12 digits, so the parsec should be the same.)

Based on what you say, I would not object to reducing the number of digits to 12. I do not feel strongly either way about the "~".
Radius 08:42, 18 Mar 2004 (UTC)
Actually, when I do the math I get 3.085 677 581 31×1016, using the 12-digit value for AU given in astronomical unit and 30-some digits of pi. The value used for AU further down in the article is different.

Dear Ray: Hi1 Thanks for your message on my talk page. Im flattered when someone reads an article I originated. As far as Sally Gerber, you have a point. When I began the article, the Gerber website said it was Sally Gerber. A couple days ago, (since I had mailed Sally through the Gerber company asking for an autograph), I received a letter from the Gerber company stating they think the baby was Clark Gable! or Humphrey Bogart or just a baby from the street that they liked. Not even they are sure who the baby is.

We need to clean up the article. Leave it, because Sally was, actually, a real person, but point out all the other possibilities as well.

Thank you and God bless you! Your friend, "Antonio Crocodile Swamp Martin"
