Edits[edit]

I removed the bit saying it's set before Mort, because

  • It must happen after Moving Pictures, as Mustrum Ridcully is the Archchancellor.
  • Moving Pictures must be set after Guards! Guards! in which Ridcully is not the Archchancellor.
  • Guards! Guards! must be set after Mort, since Lady Sybil refers to the Duke and Duchess of Sto Helit: "a very nice young couple"; evidently Mort and Ysabell. So RM must be set after Mort.
  • Ysabell isn't in Reaper Man. It might be before he adopted her of course, but that would put it forty years before Mort
  • In Soul Music, Susan travels back to the time of Mort and it's stated the cornfields in Death's Domain haven't been created yet.
  • The Death of Rats isn't mentioned in Mort.
  • Terry Pratchett says so.

One more reason: Death says at one point that he has a daughter, but they aren't in touch.

Location?[edit]

Is it known for sure that this novel (at least Death's parts) takes place in Lancre? When asked about an apothecary, Miss Flitworth responds by saying that "There's a witch over Lancre way." This would seem to imply that they are not in Lancre, but in a neighboring country, unless the citizens also refer to the castle town as "Lancre," which I suppose is possible. It's not in Lancre, it's in the Octarine Grass Country. InsidiousTweevle 16:54, 22 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Translations[edit]

The article could use a bit of help with the translations of the foreign titles. Aastrup 21:05, 21 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Reaper-man-cover.jpg[edit]

Image:Reaper-man-cover.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Wasn’t it her father who was the smuggler? ELSchissel (talk) 20:03, 7 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
