Problem with Chrono Trigger?[edit]

If any one knows where the character profile for Crono from the game Chrono Trigger is, I'd love to know so that I can point Crono (video game character) to it... as it stands right now, Crono (video game character) redirects to Crono redirects to Chrono Trigger. Thus, if you try to get info on Crono from the Chrono Trigger page, you get redirected to the same page you came from, which is obviously incorrect.

Please respond by editing this page.

As far as the profile of Crono the character, I guess we don't have one. You can start one by going to Crono (video game character). You'll get redirected to Chrono Trigger, but at the top it will say "redirected from Crono (video game character)". Click on that, edit the page, and write your profile. Thanks very much for your help. For further tips, you can read Wikipedia:How to edit a page, or ask me on User talk:Meelar. Yours, Meelar 00:58, 5 Apr 2004 (UTC)

Thanks for helping me out, Meelar... I am a bit of a n00b, I guess.

Bah. Lord knows I was. Don't worry about it; we need all the help we can get around here, and the place wouldn't be doing very well if we weren't getting new users. Feel free to ask questions (and allow me to plug the Wikipedia:Newcomers' village pump). Yours, Meelar 01:03, 5 Apr 2004 (UTC)

So that's how you sign things! (Thanks for the help.)

Hi,

About your comment at C programming language, it probably means that in C you can only inline a function if it's declared in the same file as it's used. I'm not sure though, and anyway I wasn't aware of it before. Arvindn 01:35, 20 Apr 2004 (UTC)

Bring back quickpolls[edit]

I think it's time that quickpolls be re-evaluated as a solution to short term disputes between users. What say you? --Ryan! | Talk 05:11, Mar 11, 2005 (UTC)

Notability of Sun Star[edit]

A tag has been placed on Sun Star, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert notability may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is notable, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page (below the existing db tag) and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Ohconfucius 08:51, 13 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Userbox[edit]

Hey, noticed you go to UAF. I was bored so I made userboxes for all the colleges in Alaska. Here's yours:

Sun Star page[edit]

I'm looking to head to UAF, and was rather shocked that someone deleted its page - student newspapers are clearly encyclopedic. I restored it. I apologize on behalf of whoever deleted it! FCYTravis 09:11, 15 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of Reformers Unanimous[edit]

A tag has been placed on Reformers Unanimous requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. скоморохъ ѧ 05:14, 30 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

File copyright problem with File:Chad Orzel Profile Pic.jpg[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:Chad Orzel Profile Pic.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. ww2censor (talk) 04:16, 9 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

File permission problem with File:Chad Orzel Profile Pic.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Chad Orzel Profile Pic.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 12:54, 21 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
