(William M. Connolley 23:15, 28 Feb 2005 (UTC)) A bit confrontational but I forgive you :-)

Hmmm, I don't think this page has much point. Merge/redirect/delete? William M. Connolley 17:35:12, 2005-07-16 (UTC).

This page has a pile of red-links. It introduces "surface water temperature" which doesn't really exist as a concept... though Sea surface temperature does. Its completely sourceless, and probably wrong:

  • AD 0-300 - the Roman Warm Period, when surface water temperature was as warm as the present
  • AD 600-850 - a surface water temperature warming of ~3.0°C
  • the Medieval Warm Period: fluctuations of 0.5-1.0°C until AD 1200
  • AD 1700 to the present, SWT increased by 1.75C (the Modern Warm Period)

Number 1 is dubious and probably unsourcable. If we interpret SWT as just sfc T, and "warm as the present" as 20C avg, then it might be defensible. #2 seems unsupportable. #4 Seems wrong.

Seconded. Not sure what to merge it into though. Rd232 20:51, 30 July 2005 (UTC)[reply]

OK, I'm going to continue my boldness and simply redirect it to GW. As far as I can see it has no content to redirect. William M. Connolley 21:13:22, 2005-07-30 (UTC).
