Hey please stop editing the Astrology page on Wikipedia so much -- the page was incredibly informative and now you took everything off of it that I had gathered over months; the page looks horrible now and is no longer even readable. I will be forced to revert your edits back to the previous versions -- sorry.

Hmm... well, I just thought it was a bit problematic to have lots of the same text exactly duplicated in multiple articles. If one article with duplicate text gets updated, none of the others do, unless someone goes to the trouble of tracking down all the other copies and changing them too. This seems like a big nuisance, and I think it hinders the evolution and improvement of the text.

I did find your additions quite worthwhile and interesting - however, I just think it's more manageable to have them on single pages of their own which can be linked to, rather than copying and pasting them repeatedly into every article in which they are relevant.

By the way, I was just browsing around Wikipedia's help material and started reading the info on templates, which I had never looked into before. http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Help:Template#Usage

It occurs to me that using a template might be a good compromise, as this might allow us to have the same information displayed in multiple articles, but internally, it will in fact be stored in only one place, and any edits to the template will automatically affect everyplace the template text is displayed.

This does seem much better than just having a link saying "See (such-and-such)" the way I put it, since I agree your material does vastly improve the readability of the astrology article.

I'm still trying to figure out how templates work or if this is a proper usage for them, but I just thought I'd point this out.

OK, I've figured out templates. I made several which are demonstrated in my sandbox. They can be embedded in any article by typing the template's name in double brackets, for instance: {{AstrologicalSignKeywords}}.

OK thanks for reverting many of the changes to the "Astrology" article -- I didn't mean to offend you or anything -- I know that you are only trying to improve the page by making the space usage in the article more efficient. But alot of that stuff you deleted should be on that main page and then be explicated upon in the other main articles.

The templates are a good compromise, you are right -- the fact that you left the section on "The History of Astrology" out is just fine too. The article was already getting rather large (over 32 MBs) so I suppose it was time for some pruning to be done, but before you reverted it back there were just WAY too many links and not much of an article left! I felt like all that time I had spent gathering all of that pertinent information in one place had been wasted!

Thanks for helping us out on the "Astrology" article!
