Supposing that the predecessor eventually deserves an article, and reading that there is not so relevant difference between the two editions, couldn't we just redirect this to the other one, if existing?

Mini games[edit]

This section is really crufty, and I think it should be removed. Any objections? –The Great Llamasign here 23:55, 23 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Okay, I really see no reason to object, so I guess I'll be bold and remove it now. –The Great Llamasign here 00:08, 24 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I have re added the list. If you want, you could remove the descriptions. Henchman 2000 19:24, 10 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Mario Party articles RFC[edit]

CROSSPOST

Please see Talk:Mario Party 8#Request for comment: Lists of mini-games. Signed, your friendly neighborhood MessedRocker. 11:57, 9 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

END CROSSPOST. DO NOT POST IN THIS SECTION.

Un-cited moaning.[edit]

In the article, it says (talking about Duel Minigames) "Typically, Donkey Kong uses certain cheating tactics in order to win, while Mario tends to lose." This is either a fact which should be cited, or the guy who wrote this always plays as Mario and loses against his skilled friend who always plays as Donkey Kong. I'll leave this up for discussion, I can't say I've ever played Mario Party 2.

Thanks for telling us that. I've removed it. — MalcolmUse the schwartz! 23:39, 29 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Battlegames.jpg[edit]

Image:Battlegames.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no [[Wikipedia:Fair use rati--99.239.211.18 (talk) 15:37, 30 October 2010 (UTC)onale guideline|explanation or rationale]] as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.[reply]

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 02:48, 1 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Other features[edit]

I removed it because it was not important and seemed to have been written by an inexperienced and biased editor. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.210.249.5 (talk) 05:59, 21 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Story[edit]

We should add a plot summary here; it starts with the characters arguing over who their new land should be named after and Bowser threatening to invade the land. Then after all five lands are completed, the player has to play the last land "Bowser Land" in order to defeat the big evil turtle. It has a full ending scene and everything! Anyone name one good reason why we shouldn't add a plot summary. 2603:6010:8B45:FA00:2077:C477:CB7F:492D (talk) 02:06, 30 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Mario Party 2's story is one of the least notable things about the game. It's already described in the start of the gameplay section in just two or three sentences, which shows how insignificant it actually is. I don't see how you can write an entire section dedicated to the story that isn't what you just described without adding a ton of perfunctory fluff. ThomasO1989 (talk) 17:38, 31 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I guess not. 2603:6010:8B45:FA00:1570:E11F:903:D176 (talk) 21:07, 31 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
