Garrigues[edit]

I am currently proposing that the Garrigues page should be replaced by the content now found on the Garrigues (disambiguation) page and the the material presently on the Garrigues page should be moved to a new page to be titled Les Garrigues, Catalonia If you have the time I would appreciate your comments on the Discussion page at Garrigues. I hope you will agree. Sincerely, GeorgeLouis (talk) 20:18, 5 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Inline citation template[edit]

I added the template due to the fact that only one reference is provided, with no inline citations. It's not a bad article, and has plenty of links, but the statements could use more verifiable and reliable source citations. — Parsa (talk) 20:12, 28 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Another coat of arms?[edit]

I have found a reference[1] to a very different blazon for Roussillon which I think is worth mentioning: De plata, dos fajas de azur, cargadas cada una, de tres flores de lis de oro (Or in English (my translation, sorry for the mistakes): Argent, two fesses Azure, each charged with three fleurs-de-lys Or.). At first, I thought these arms pertained to a "Roussillon" or "Rosselló" family — a name quite common here in (French) Catalonia — or were late, attributed arms with French connotations (the three fleurs-de-lys on a blue background). But I recently saw them displayed inside the Mairie de Perpignan next to the traditional Aragonese arms, and also on the tomb[2][3] of King James II of Majorca, Count of Roussillon and Cerdanya, Lord of Montpellier, inside the Cathedral of Palma de Mallorca which he founded and where they seem to represent only the county of Roussillon without Cerdanya... Therefore, I think they should appear here but I have neither the time nor the skills necessary to draw them myself. Anyone interested? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 178.79.174.112 (talk) 14:56, 12 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The usage of Rousillon (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views) is under discussion, see talk:Rousillon (horse) -- 70.24.244.158 (talk) 04:43, 12 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Possible error in introduction[edit]

"It is part of the region of Northern Catalonia[a] or Catalonia (the former used by Catalan-speakers and the latter used by -speakers), ..."

What is meant by "-speakers" here? Is it in error? By which speakers is the latter used by?

The meaning here is certainly unclear. Not sure how to fix this. WikidKev (talk) 02:10, 6 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
