Mystery Train[edit]

Hello. This is a great article. About the vanishing hitchhiker in pop culture, I believe that the story reappears in the Jim Jarmusch movie Mystery Train, in which the hitchhiker is none other than Elvis Presley. Also "in pop culture," the song "Laurie (Strange Things Happen)" by Dickey Lee. It gave me quite a chill when I heard it in my early teens before I knew of the urban legend.
