Untitled[edit]

This is hopelessly outdated. Last population count 1910? Inlcuding "984 foreign born and 43 negroes"? It all seems kinda silly to me. Danny

It's a classic example, Danny, of why importing text from old Britannicas is not useful in most cases. Believe it or not, there have been people who objected to us cutting the 1910 census data, because 'later readers might find it interesting'. Let them do real research, I say! I also changed the Erie Canal to the past tense - it was renamed in the 1920s or 30s, anyway. MichaelTinkler
I put the text from the old Britannica here - it was previously located at the general Albion article. I did wikify it a little, but I agree much of the data was of little use. jheijmans

Confused[edit]

Are there really three places called "Albion, NY"? Can the disambig page tell what the actual difference is between each? Background: I was looking for the town along the Erie Canal that George Pullman and Rufus Bullock came from. Thanks Jolomo 05:11, 20 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
