The word 'countersteering' in the article was linked to the article on countersteering. However, that article refers to a meaning of the word countersteering that is exclusive to motorcycle steering and bicycle steering.

Maybe a disambiguation is necessary, because in 4-wheel vehicle steering the word 'countersteering' is in wide use too. In the case of 4-wheel vehicle steering, 'countersteering' refers to either a slide of the vehicle that is controlled from the beginning, or to the steering necessary to regain control of a vehicle that has unexpectedly started to slide. If the rear end of the vehicle has broken out, the front wheels must be kept pointing in the direction of motion. (Details depending on whether the vehicle is a front wheel drive, rear wheel drive, or 4-wheel drive.) --Cleon Teunissen | Talk 18:54, 19 Mar 2005 (UTC)

I have never heard of countersteering applied correctly to 4-wheeled vehicles. In fact, I believe this is a fallacy perpetuated by articles such as this one. "Powerslide" is usually the term I hear when I envision the rear wheels sliding out. -Phil
