Eltinge Theater[edit]

The Eltinge Theater in its Burlesque days is referenced in "The G-String Murders" by Gypsy Rose Lee (ghost-written by Craig Rice) . When a corpse is found sitting on the backstage toilet of a burlesque theater the authorities threaten to close it. One actress cries "Oh God- not back to the Eltinge!" ambisextrous?[edit]

According to the OED (New Edition), the first known use of the term ambisextrous was in 1929. Its use follows: "...twenty or thirty young Apollos..paraded their ambisextrous charms..."

It doesn't sound like it began with Julian Eltinge. Anybody have a source for this? --Superluser 07:23, 24 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
