Looking for Input on Information Change[edit]

I'm wondering if the section 'Protective Coloration and Behavior' should be removed or changed. It certainly needs a different source, as the source listed (DOI: https://doi.org/10.1093/beheco/arl023) is for a completely different species (Acanthodactylus beershebensis). I can't find any studies on a similar change in Phelsuma cepediana. In herpetoculture circles, it's considered common knowledge that Phelsuma species have less color when they're stressed for long periods, however I do not see any studies that specifically reflect this. For the time being, I would say it's likely best to remove this section to avoid misinformation, however I would like to get some feedback before making such a major change.

comments![edit]

Hello! Very good article overall! There was not much to edit at all. I mainly just added more to the lead section and changed minor sentence structure and grammar mistakes I found. I also added more hyperlinks for reader use along with some relevant pictures for the coloration and enemies section!

New additions[edit]

I have added more information on the blue-tailed day gecko (Phelsuma cepediana). Specifically, I have created multiple new sections as well as added to the few sections that already existed. I have cited all of my sources for each piece of new information and fact checked in order to ensure that all the information added was accurate. All of the edits that I have made can be considered to be major edits. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Eliyamak (talkcontribs) 17:20, 27 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Class Edits[edit]

I made a few word choice changes to make the article more precise (ex. Beautiful to vivid or physical traits). I also rearranged a few paragraphs that fit better subject-wise with different headings (such as shifting diurnal behavior to Behavior instead of Habitat and Distribution). Overall a thorough and diverse article with precise poignant information! Quill Quips

The headings covered a wide range of topics and were thoroughly discussed given the current information available about this lizard. However, I made some changes to the organization. More specifically, I created a more cohesive behavior headline and added a subheading to consolidate the discussion around behavioral characteristics.
