I have been teaching in one capacity or another for over ten years. I joined Teaching Matters in 1997. See below for more.

A Project Manager with 10+ years of quantifiable success developing and implementing powerful education instructional and classroom management skills. Strengths include high levels of success coaching and managing resources in an educational environment, adhering to budgets, fulfilling requirements, providing assessments and improvements for coaching. An insightful, organized and focused team member with a strong commitment to curricular goals, producing measurable results and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, while working in a demanding, fast paced environment. Results consistently produce time and cost savings while encouraging an inclusive, open environment.
Currently, Project Manager for DNPS Parent Fairs. Organized a series of nine parent fairs in varying venues in New York City such as the Museum of Moving Image, Fordham University, NY Hall of Science and others for the Division of Nonpublic Schools, allowing parents to be updated on the academic help their children are receiving as part of Title I services.
As a senior TMI educational consultant (17+ years), I have been working directly with teachers in Reading, Science, ESL and Social Studies to help integrate technology into their curriculum. I have 11+ years college teaching experience and have demonstrated pedagogic philosophy and skills. I have created curriculum, designed and modeled lesson plans for classroom instruction in all content areas. For example, I am one of Teaching Matters’ lead instructors for their proprietary writing curriculum, Writing Matters, in English and Spanish.
Academia[edit]
As soon as I received my Master's Degree in Media Ecology, I began adjuncting at New York University. My academic interests focus on mass media history, as well as film, gender, culture and language.
I teach two courses at NYU: History of Advertising & Pr and Critical Thinking. As if I didn't have enough time, I'm also teaching two courses at Marymount Manhattan College: history of mass media, with a strong focus on corporate ownership, advertising, and new media; and perspectives on communication theory focusing on mass communication, interpersonal and organizational communication.
