Pseudonym[edit]

Which French region did he adopt as a pseudonym? - User:Olivier

Spanish region of Aragon, where his father was ambassadeur. He did not adopt a pseudonym. He was officialy declared as "born from unknowed father" and his mother declared "to give birth under X", it mean whithout recognize, she assume the role of a legal mother. In such case in France, a fantasy name is choised by the mother or the man (father of the child or not) who make the declaration, meanwhile a adoption. Louis Andrieux made the declaration whitout saying he was the father but he said the father was unknowed and in the sametime the mother adopted the child. As she was'nt married, she could'nt give his name. A so complicated procedure was not so difficult for a high civil servant. The name Aragon is not a pseudonym. Louis Aragon is not "born Louis Andrieux" as said in the article. If he had child, these would be named Aragon. N.b. Elsa Triolet-Mayakovsky[edit]

Red Poster poem[edit]

I've moved this here for discussion:

The central message of Manouchian's letter is clear: He is willing to forgive even the Germans, but not the Communist Party bosses who sold him and his comrades down the river (ceux qui nous ont vendus). In his poem, Aragon, following the French Communist Party line (adding only a few factual errors of his own), managed somehow to overlook Manouchian's message. <ref>Bosco (Bosco Boucault): ''Des terroristes à la retraite'', (Terrorists in Retirement), 1983</ref><ref>Debate preceding and following Mosco's documentary on the French TV channel ''Antenne 2'' (1985)</ref>

The reason is simple: to say "the central message of Manouchian's letter is clear" without providing a full quote of the letter does not comply with WP:Verifiability. Furthermore, the allusion that Aragon would have added a few factual errors and followed the Communist Party's line is not given attribution.
