Sri Mandali Budhdha Prasad is a congress MLA from avanigadda constituency,Krishna district,Andhra Pradesh. He has been the president of krishna district congress commitee for along time since 1992. Though there are group politics in the district,he is very tactful in managing to bring them together and keep them as one fold. It is a sign of the congress party could win'13' assembly constituencies out of the total of 15 constituencies in the recently held electios. prior to the assembly elections congress party had only two seats in Krishna District.
He is a hard worker and a great leader. He organized the krishna delta agitation during Telugu Desam party regime to save the Krishna delta and forced the then Telugu Desam Govt to terms and made them release water to krishna delta which has saved crops in thousand of acres. This agitation had a powerful impact not only in Krishna District but even in the adjacent districts like Guntur,Prakasam and WestGodavari. The effect if the agitation gave a landslide victory to the congress party in these districts, in the Assembly elections.
But it is sad to state that such a popular leader in this region,has not been given a ministerial berth. Even the media has projected Sri Mandali Budda Prasad as a strong candidate for the ministerial berth. But on both the occassions, much to the disappointment of the local cadre,he had been neglected.
This has sent wrong singnals to the local cadre, that honest and sincere persons,dedicated party workers,popular leaders are not given due recognition. This will force the party cadre to be inactive.
Our request is togive due recognitation to hard working party leaders who are sincere and honest like Sri Mandali Budda Prasad garu.
We request to give ministerial berth to Sri Mandali Budda Prasad at least in the forthcoming cabinet expansion and see that the party cadre is not alienated from the main stream
