As you can see in the edit summary, 09:00, 13 Dec 2004 Utcursch m (moved edits by 216.100.136.118 on Jawaharlal Nehru to this article), I haven't authored this content. The user 216.100.136.118 had added this sentence to Jawaharlal Nehru article. I thought this would be more appropriate at the Nehru-Gandhi dynasty article, so I shifted it there. By the way, I have heard that indeed, the Nehru surname comes from a nehar (canal), though I can't cite any source.
