What is the moral of Pandora’s Box? What else might have come from Pandora's box?

It is to be assumed that she believed that it contained wealth or something. She had not been told why she wasn't to open it, and dowries in the classical world were usually monetary possessions of some form or other, so it seems quite plausible that she just thought it was a whole heap of gold in there! EDIT: at least, I *think* it was a dowry, wasn't it??? Or was it her husband's? I forget... Master Thief Garrett 22:45, 13 Apr 2005 (UTC)
