Must add the jargon file reference Project2501a 17:25, 25 Nov 2004 (UTC)

Must say I dispute that this term is really used. A search of the Jargon file that you reference above gives no results for "web monkey". [1] cheers - Drstuey 01:50, 26 Nov 2004 (UTC)

While "web monkey" isn't in the Jargon file, a Google search gets 77khits for "web monkey", including webmonkey.com and webmonkey.wired.com, both of which are collections of HTML cheat sheets, Javascript clips, FAQs, etc.--exactly what a web-oriented script kiddie would used to build content free eye candy. And you do bring up a good point about the Jargon file, I think I'll submit the term to ESR. scot 15:40, 14 Feb 2005 (UTC)

Real programmers don't submit their changes to ESR! They whistle the bits into the phone, hack into the site, make the changes themselves and like it! Humph. Kids, this days. In my time, I had to manipulate the inodes with magnets! *shakes his cane* Project2501a 15:45, 14 Feb 2005 (UTC)
Inodes? What inodes? Why, back in my day we didn't have no sissy inode, just stacks of punchcards lying all over the place. We edited our code with our TEETH, in HEX, while standing up to our ANKLES in CHAD DRIFTS, and we LIKED IT!
(OK, so maybe not. But at age 33, I'm already beginning to get a reputation as a Real Programmer, even though I hate Fortran. But damnit, I can write C code in any language, including Java) scot 17:38, 14 Feb 2005 (UTC)
