PE owned by Conrail?[edit]

Okay, I know it sounds weird, but that's what it says in my copy of the April 1984 Official Railway Equipment Register. Since the Pacific Electric stopped operations in 1965, that would mean that another railroad, presumably an Eastern railroad, registered the reporting mark after that time. Was there a Pittsburgh and Eastern Railway or something like that chartered after 1965 that might explain this? slambo 12:21, Mar 18, 2005 (UTC)
