Welcome!

Hello, Freedom2005, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Where to ask a question, ask me on my talk page, or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Again, welcome!  Academic Challenger 19:32, 9 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for experimenting with Wikipedia. Your test worked, and has been reverted or removed. Please use the sandbox for any other tests you want to do. Take a look at the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing to our encyclopedia. Thanks.

Please don't create new articles with topics the same as the content or that are a single sentence in another article. If you want to perform any testing you can use your user page to practice. - Tεxτurε 20:08, 9 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop adding nonsense to Wikipedia. It is considered vandalism. If you were just trying to experiment, then use the sandbox instead. Thank you. - Tεxτurε 21:43, 10 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]

There not that vandalism. --Freedom2005 21:44, 10 May 2005 (UTC) Texture if you look up some of my contributions look you will see they are real. --Freedom2005 21:46, 10 May 2005 (UTC) Go ahead wikify all of my pages it might help. --Freedom2005 21:50, 10 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I know you mean well but it isn't useful to create articles titles like "If i only had a brain" or "Love (tennis)" where the text is "A love in tennis goes all the way to 40 love then you get a point.". (That is not an accurate description of the term, Love, as applied to Tennis.) None of these are actual articles. You should practice on your user page until you have a complete article. An article should have more than a single sentence or phrase and should provide meaningful content. - Tεxτurε 22:06, 10 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Why don't you help me out then Texture.?--Freedom2005 22:07, 10 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I edited some of your articles to make them into real ones but the articles you are making today are nonsense. "Golfing on ice" is not an article but a description of what someone did in a commercial. Please consider practicing on your user page. You seem nice and I don't want to see you get into trouble. - Tεxτurε 22:12, 10 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]
For example, your article "Mt. Blue" says "It's located somewhere in Maine." Do you think that is what an encyclopedia would say? How about you gather some information if "Mt. Blue" is a real place and tell us where in Maine and how high it is? - Tεxτurε 22:18, 10 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]
You keep asking me to improve your articles. The nonsense ones I can't do anything about. Articles like Mt. Blue I can't even confirm are real and since I don't know where it is in Maine either or how high it is I can't create that article either. - Tεxτurε 22:22, 10 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I forwarded La bambba to La Bamba. Not sure if Wikipedia is a spell checker, but there you go. Stephen Compall 19:23, 11 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I moved Nonsuch golf course to Nonesuch golf course. Considered moving Chocolate creme pie to Chocolate cream pie, but the article has minimal (inaccurate) content. Creating a lot of misspelled articles with little to no content and inaccurate or indecipherable content is not helpful to wikipedia. It only causes others to take time to clean up after you. --Tabor 19:40, 11 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]

You appear to be interested in a wide, diverse variety of topics. Why not pick one, and expand the article based on your knowledge? Stephen Compall 19:45, 11 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]

My articles are not working out to good. Need the help of wikifying or just expanding. --Freedom2005 19:47, 11 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]
Personally, I look to Wikipedia for well-thought-out, substantial articles, rather than single-sentence definitions. One thing you might consider is searching for pages that already exist in which you are interested, and adding encyclopedic information to them, or suggesting changes on the talk page. If you want to create a page, please be sure you are willing to create a well-thought-out, substantial article. Thanks! Stephen Compall 19:52, 11 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]
I could have skipped writing the above and directed you to Wikipedia:Contribute what you know or are willing to learn more about. Stephen Compall 19:56, 11 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop creating articles with short or no content. They will be removed. Why not take a look at Wikipedia:The perfect stub article to get a good idea? Remember, our eventual target is featured article status. Meelar (talk) 19:46, May 11, 2005 (UTC)

Please stop creating tiny little nonsense articles!--Bishonen | talk 19:48, 11 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Why do you keep saying they are nonsense. Some arnt and you consider all of them. wikipedia I thought was a stub a starting place. --Freedom2005 19:49, 11 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Articles with a single line or single phrase are not articles. Please try to write a paragraph or more for any new articles. Any news articles don't belong here on Wikipedia but rather on Wikinews. (Such as Washington, DC Sesna scare ) - Tεxτurε 20:25, 11 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Freedom2005, so many people have tried to explain to you why they are nonsense that I'm not going to do it again, sorry. I'm afraid I've had to block you for 24 hours, because you're just making too much work for people who clean up the site. Please read the comments you have already gotten on this page in the meantime. After the block, you are most welcome back. Please try to edit more constructively, and take advantage of some of the advice you've been given here. --Bishonen | talk 20:33, 11 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Maybe i'm not cut out to be a wikipedian. Sorry for the chaos. Thanks for wikifying some of my pages. --Freedom2005 19:17, 13 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Your still not getting it. You are making the same mistakes you made before you were blocked. Please read the pages they posted above on your talk page. Thanks, and good luck. Academic Challenger 19:37, 13 May 2005 (UTC) do you want to help me out?[reply]

You now know how to wikify your articles. That's a good start on improving them. Academic Challenger 20:16, 13 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Texture[edit]

I got blocked for 24 hours, why because the person who blocked me thought i was causing a disturbence. I was not trying to cause any kind of vandalism or was I trying to hurt wikipedia. Please give me a chance because I look forward to new articles being wikifying thats what i need help with. my grammer is bad i know but please i'm trying to get better. thanks. --Freedom2005 19:15, 13 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]

You might want to hold off creation of new articles. So far you have been rapidly creating article after article with no more than a sentence each. Try to wait until you have a complete article (at least a paragraph or so of solid information about the topic) before creating an article. Try working in your user page for a while. - Tεxτurε 23:11, 13 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]
