Untitled[edit]

If "Cuban songwriters", "Agentine songwriters" etc are not subcategories of this category, perhaps it should be moved to "United States songwriters". -- Infrogmation 15:33, 18 Jun 2004 (UTC)

[My POV]:
I guess, though, if you want to open a month-long debate for every single page that has "America(n)" in its title, go right ahead.

Of course Argentine and Cuban songwriters are American. To try to argue otherwise is an attempt to inflict narrow POV. (And the folks who used bots to change numerous categories from "United States" to "American" while still oriented towards a single American nation without there being agreement that this was appropriate did great harm to Wikipedia's attempt to be a serious international encyclopedia.) -- Infrogmation 00:41, 8 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

ADD LINK[edit]

How do I add a name to this list? The link is already shown on the subject's individual page, but it is not listed here.Apace361 20:06, 7 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

If you add the category:American songwriters with open and close brackets at either end to the article of the individual, it should appear in the category automatically. Try refreshing/reloading the page on your browser; if it still doesn't appear, check for typos. It should work. -- Infrogmation 00:37, 8 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I hadn't placed the link there myself. I went back and tried all that's suggested above, but it still doesn't work. Any other suggestions? Apace361 16:57, 8 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

What article are you talking about? Let's take a look. -- Infrogmation 17:49, 8 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The article is Moe Jaffe. Apace361 21:37, 8 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
